Happy Easter Everyone!
I am so ready for spring! This Easter is a bit strange for us. We are typically with the kids, at the In-laws or the kids with us. This year it's quiet with no plans. Hubby got up early and went to the grocery store, then surprised me with a fabulous breakfast and a bowl full of Jelly Beans and Dove Dark Chocolate eggs. *drool*
Yes, he even made the pastry tart from scratch! It was filled with pears and blueberries done in a rum, sherry reduction with fresh creme! (see how perfect the froth is on my latte?!!) I love, love asparagus...it is one of those things that kicks off spring for me. I had a scrumptious grilled asparagus salad ( with feta cheese, cucumber salsa and a sweet ginger dressing...OMG!) on Friday for lunch. That and then this for breakfast....*more drool*
After breakfast we went on a long walk with the dog and I took my camera along. Here are a few beautiful signs of spring...
I have no idea what this plant is called, but these flowers are featured a lot in Art Nouveau (which I love) so I was pleasantly surprised to find it in our courtyard!
I hope each of you have a great day, celebrating in whatever way you do.
you have a very sweet hubby! I loved spring too wen I was living in Holland. Lots of tulips everywhere…

Ash, I do believe that flowering plant you like so much is called ‘mountain laurel’ which may be the common name and not the proper name. Your DAY LOA friend, Kate
