Indulge Your Senses

Sensuality is defined as - indulgence in sensory pleasure.
Typically the word is associated within a  sexual context. When you look the word up in a thesauruses, you get words such as: Carnal, hedonistic, irreverent…
Good grief!
Indulging in our has become one of those naughty, self-centered ‘untruth’ things that certain religious dogmas has wanted us to be weary of, to see as evil.
When, really, our are one of the gifts given to us in discerning .
Every thing, all around us, including us, is that vibrates at a certain frequency. At all times we are sending out and we are receiving , from every single thing around us.  We either resonate with the , or we don’t. When we don’t resonate with a certain , it is healthier for us to not be in that .
Just as we a have different preferences and personalities, we have our own preferences.
Paying attention to life’s energies and noting how you resonate with them is a wonderful guidance system to aid in creating contentment and happiness.
A big part of happiness is to create resonance between the inner you and the outer you.

How in tune are you with what your sensory pleasures are? What aromas make you feel good? What types of things do you like next to your skin? What colors? What sounds? What flavors? What type pf people and places?
How in tune are you with your body’s signals? Do you sense when something is not right? Or when your body needs a certain food or doesn’t need a certain food?
I have found that I crave certain because that is what my body is needing at that time. I also know the signal of when to stop eating. When I am completely full, I know its time to put my utensil down and stop eating. This was a hard one for me because I was taught to clean my plate and I love food! So stopping before I was finished made me feel guilty! Ah, but, guilt is not a positive or healthy emotion. It is one of those ingrained beliefs that causes us to do something or think something that is really not good for us…nor is ever really our truth.

Learning to understand your own vibe and what matches your vibe is part of living authentically. If a color, texture, food, place, or person doesn’t match your vibe, then change or leave the situation. When an resonates with you, it actually is giving you something you need to function at your best.
If you have never really taken notice of this in your life, start with one area - either your diet, or the clothes you wear, or the style of your personal spaces, the company you keep, the types of books, movies and TV shows you watch, etc.  I’m not saying that things are good or bad; there are just types of energies that for you are unhealthy. Take note of how things make you feel in each and every moment. Discard what isn’t feeling right and take note of the changes you can make.
When something doesn’t match who you are or who you choose to be, then remove yourself from it. Don’t settle or put up with things that don’t resonate with you simply to be nice or accommodating!
Welcome the changes and indulge your …and enjoy the process!
