Victoria magazine is back!
I had a delightful shock yesterday. I was at Sam’s Club and in the mood to pick up a few magazines, so was looking over the stands and lo and behold…my eye catches the cover of an old favorite that sadly disappeared…Victoria magazine! She’s back!
At a time in my life when I was discovering that soft, romantic, love of vintage side, I loved Victoria magazine. They stopped for a while and they were very missed.
On top of my joy over seeing the magazine back was in seeing that one of my favorite authors - and Goddess of Happiness & Home - Alexandra Stoddard, is a contributing writer for the magazine!
Alexandra’s books taught me so much when I was a young stay at home mom. My mom passed when I was very young and she was a lover of the outdoors and animals, so she never bestowed any home and hearth wisdom on me. I have always had a passion for homes and interiors, and her books not only gave me a great basic knowledge of decorating but she was the front runner of teaching us how to find happiness in the daily act of living. I devoured all of her books and still refer to them all the time. She teaches how it’s in the little things, in our daily rituals and in how we relate to the other members of our family that we can find our bliss and have a home that is our sanctuary.
Alexandra is truly a goddess in my eyes. She has helped so many women find fullfilment in lovingly decorating and maintaining their homes. As well, she helped us to go within and find our authentic voices that allowed us to see what made us happy and how to follow our bliss.
I am blissfully happy to now get back to my monthly dose of Victoria magazine and Alexandra’s words of insight within those beautiful pages!

I remember feeling a similar sense of loss when Life Magazine ceased publishing. It was like an old friend had passed away.
How cool that this one has returned from oblivion.
I followed your link home from Michele’s. I’m glad I did, as your site is an absolute delight! I look forward to reading more.
