Weight Loss Challenge!

Years ago I worked in the fitness industry, then went through a divorce, lots of changes and lots of stress which created a much bigger me. I never had issues with weight, but as I entered my 40’s, I discovered a body that was very foreign to me! (One of those really fun things about mid-life!)
After working on the stress factors and just learning to embrace who I was becoming, I started working on the physical changes.
I stopped eating the quantity before me simply because it was on my plate. I learned to listen to my body and STOP when I was full…not stuffed, but DONE. After seeing that I was throwing food out after each meal, I learned to cut WAY back on the amount I was cooking and putting on my plate. This took me a while as I was use to cooking for a family of five, and now it is just hubby and I.
I cut out a lot of dairy products and started using . I cut back on the amount of alcohol I was drinking and got a puppy. Yes, a puppy did a TON for helping me get back into shape! We live in an apartment and don’t have a yard, which meant 3 walks a day, come rain or shine. Besides the fact that my puppy brought lots of joy into my life, I began taking him on hikes and walking in my neighborhood is a workout-we live on the side of a mountain and there are no flat streets.

I began to lose weight and tone up…then I hit that plateau.
So, when I heard Meg over at Lucchese to Louis Vuitton talk about how she wanted to lose 20 pounds and get back to a more healthy weight, I got excited and wanted to join her in her quest!
So, I asked Meg is she would like to have a supportive, friendly challenge with one another to lose the weight we are working to lose…of course, being the amazing lady she is, she said yes!

So, although I didn’t think I would ever be revealing my weight-loss /get back into shape journey here…We are both going to blog our journey!

Now, I am a HUGE fan of Dr. Christiane Northrup. Her books have helped me get over that frustrated, “its all downhill from here”, feeling that women feel when perimenopause hits. Her books helped me to change some eating habits as well as see that my PMS symptoms were my body’s way of letting me know about certain issues that I still had not dealt with. (This is a whole different topic, but my PMS symptoms which were horrible have subsided a TON!)
One of the products that Dr. Northrup highly recommends is Revival. While I had added a lot of to my diet, I decided that for this next phase of weight loss, I would use the Revival products. (I’ll be sharing more on that as I go along)

And, what better timing than to do this when we are focusing on Athena energy…that “make a plan, get focused and get it done” time!

Get rid of that extra weight with Revival Soy!

The funny thing about diets and weightloss plans are their are so many and all do not work for everyone. The thing that you have to do is to keep trying different plans until you find the one that gets you the results you are looking for.

The most important thing is to keep on trying and you will find it.

If you check out enough diet sites you will find certain things that run through all of them and these generally are the things that you use to create your diet foundation.

I kept on searching until I found one that would allow me to eat whatever I wanted and still get in shape. I also shared this with some other people who thank me daily.

    Keep trying and don’t stop!
