Today is No Socks Day! Let those little tootsies wiggle freely! It is that time of the year when we pull out our sandals and give our some extra pampering so they can be seen with their digits bared proudly. :)
I of course, like to go a step further (no pun intended!) on the topic because, well, those who know me, know that reducing foot pain and having foot massages are a high priority in my life.
My mom had me rubbing her as soon as I was old enough to do so. I rubbed my kids while they were babies and I taught them to rub my . I absolutely love for my to be massaged! This was one thing passed down that is a positive and hopefully will continue to be passed down!
Now I know that some people can’t stand to touch someone else’s’ or they don’t like someone else touching their . Understandable. BUT, if you are one who doesn’t mind your being touched, it is an amazing stress reducer, relaxer and toxin eliminator as well as a loving gesture.
Even something as simple as gently massaging each toe is a great way to relax.
Our are also our grounding connection to the Earth. Waking barefoot on the earth can help with feeling more grounded. And, if your have been something that have been bothering you or has been a constant image in your life lately, here are some questions/observations:
Are you afraid of stepping forward in life?
Do you need a new direction in life?
Are you standing up for yourself?

Our are very sensitive and highly absorbent. Just as what we touch with our hands is absorbed into our bodies, the same goes with our . A healthy foot soaking benefits your entire body.
Something I learned not to long ago that I have found very beneficial if I am feeling overwhelmed or stressed and doesn’t take a lot of time is when I shower, I plug the drain at first and pour some Epsoms salt on the bottom of the tub. As the water fills a bit, I am standing, while I shower, in a foot bath, allowing the salts to release toxins. Once the water is ankle high, release the plug and resume your shower. You can add a few drops of your favorite essential oil for the aroma and added benefits being absorbed into your .
When I am feeling tired or have that tingly sensation in my (I am very sensitive to blocked energy in my )or my are feeling “hot”, I use a homemade Peppermint Foot Cream:
Recipe -
1/2 tsp borax
1/4 cup distilled water
1/4 cup grated beeswax
1/4 cup coconut oil
1 TBS wheat germ oil
1 tsp lecithin
1/2 tsp vitamin E oil
30 drops of Peppermint essential oil

1 - In a small bowl, combine borax and the water, dissolving the borax, set aside.
2 - In the top of a double boiler, over low heat, melt the beeswax with the coconut oil. Remove the mixture from the heat and whisk in the wheat germ oil and lecithin.
3- Transfer the beeswax mixture to a blender and while running on high, drizzle in the borax solution. Blend until the mixture looks creamy and fluffy. Pour the cream into a mixing bowl and stir in the vitamin E and peppermint essential oil.
4- Transfer the cream to a prepared container and seal tightly. Store in a cool, dark place, it will keep for 3 months.

Before going to bed, I wash my than massage this into my . It cools them as well as softens and rejuvenates them (and me!)
